ADAPTATION AND TRANSCULTURAL VALIDATION OF THE BRAZILIAN VERSION OF THE BACK PAIN FUNCTIONAL SCALE

ABSTRACT Objective: The Back Pain Functional Scale (BPFS) was designed to evaluate the functional state of individuals with low back pain. scale consists twelve items, covering aspects daily life activities these individuals. final score is calculated by summing responses each item, values which range from 0 5, obtaining a total result 60 points. Methods: validation process developed in accordance World Health Organization (WHO) protocol, translation, semantic equivalence, evaluation specialists previous stages, pre-test tool, and version. Subsequently, version applied sample 90 data obtained were subjected descriptive statistical analysis, factorial internal consistency, correlation other validated tools.
